This year's tour comes during an important election year and will stress the need for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities and their straight allies to make their votes count this fall. HRC and non-profit partners CenterLink and PFLAG (Parents, Families, Friends of Lesbians and Gays) National are joining the Tour to bring together Americans across the country to voice their solidarity for GLBT equality and raise public awareness about the issues still facing the GLBT community.

The True Colors Tour was conceived by Cyndi Lauper, stemming from her desire to give back to the community for the love and support they have given her throughout her career. The Tour is a celebration of the basic values and freedoms that should be shared by all Americans. Fans will experience these values through the music of both legendary icons and the newest and coolest acts this generation has to offer.

F.A.G News- How Do You Handle Your Gay Anger? The Daily OM for Today!!

Sometimes when we feel anger, it is coming from a deep place that demands acknowledgment and expression. At these times, it is important that we find healthy ways to honor our anger, remembering how dangerous it is to repress it. However, anger can also become a habit, our go-to emotion whenever things go wrong. Often this is because, for whatever reason, we feel more comfortable expressing anger than we do other emotions, like sadness. It can also be that getting angry gives us the impression that we’ve done something about our problem. In these cases, our habitual anger is inhibiting both our ability to express our other emotions and to take action in our lives.

If it’s true that anger is functioning this way in your life, the first thing you might want to try is to notice when you get angry. You might begin to see a pattern of some kind. For example, you could notice that it is always your first response or that it comes up a lot in one particular situation. If the pattern doesn’t become clear right away, you could try keeping a journal about when you get angry and see if you can find any underlying meaning. The good thing about keeping a journal is that you can explore your anger more deeply in it—from examining who in your family of origin expressed a lot of anger to how you feel when you encounter anger in others. This kind of awareness can be a formidable agent of transformation.

Anger can be a powerful ally, since it is filled with energy that we can harness and use to create change in the world. It is one of the most cathartic emotions, and it can also be a very effective cleanser of the emotional system. However, when it becomes a habit, it actually loses its power to transform and becomes an obstacle to growth. Identifying the role anger plays in your life and restoring it to its proper function can bring new energy and expansiveness to your emotional life...AHH the Daily OM......

South African poet and painter Breyten Breytenback tells of a Black man named Freedom who was the property of a one-legged slave owner in the days before the abolition of slavery. Whenever the owner bought a new pair of shoes, he gave the left one, which he couldn’t use, to Freedom. Eventually, wearing two left shoes deformed Freedom’s right foot, and he was permanently crippled by the "generosity" of his master. Don’t be fooled by people who attempt to further their own interests under the guise of helping you. Listen to advice from others, thank them for their interest, and make up your own mind about what is best. Follow their advice if it fits with your plan for your life, but don’t hesitate to discard it if it doesn’t. In all the world, there is only one individual who knows what is best for you, and that person is you......Great stuff from

I live with Asperger's everyday- MY son, almost 15 was diagnosed a few years ago- Today I was thrilled to see an article posted on was so moved by it I had to post it- Please take some time to read it.....

One CNN manager recently learned -- at 48 -- that she has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism. Today she shares an inside view of life with the condition.

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Recently, at 48 years of age, I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. For most of my life, I knew that I was "other," not quite like everyone else. I searched for years for answers and found none, until an assignment at work required me to research autism. During that research, I found in the lives of other people with Asperger's threads of similarity that led to the diagnosis. Although having the diagnosis has been cathartic, it does not change the "otherness." It only confirms it.

When I talk to people about this aspect of myself, they always want to know what it means to be an "Aspie," as opposed to a "Neurotypical" (NT). Oh, dear, where to start . ...

The one thing people seem to know about Asperger's, if they know anything at all, is the geek factor. Bill Gates is rumored to be an Aspie. We tend to have specialized interests, and we will talk about them, ad infinitum, whether you are interested or not. Recognizing my tendency to soliloquize, I often choose silence, although perhaps not often enough. Due to our extensive vocabularies and uninflected manner of speaking, we are called "little professors," or arrogant.

I don't quite understand small talk, and early in my adult life, solecisms were frequent. At meetings, I launch into business without the expected social acknowledgments. It's not that I don't care about people, I am just very focused on task. Do you have to rehearse greeting people to reinforce that you should do it? I do.

I am lucky to have a very dear friend who savors my eccentricities. She laughs, lovingly, about one particular evening at a restaurant. Before she could get seated, I asked her what she knew about the golden ratio and began to spew everything I know about it. I re-emphasize how lucky I am to have her as a friend, because this incident occurred long before I was diagnosed.

A misconception is that Aspies do not have a sense of humor. It is true that we can be very literal, so we often miss the humor in everyday banter, but we can and do enjoy even subtle humor. Our literal interpretations, however, can be problematic.

In first grade, whenever someone made a mess in the classroom, the teacher would ask a student to get the janitor. The student would come back with Mr. Jones (not really his name), who carried a broom and large folding dustpan. When I was asked to get the janitor, I looked all over the school and reported back to the teacher that I could not find it. After all, the person was Mr. Jones, so the janitor must be the object, right?

I lack the ability to see emotion in most facial expressions. I compensate for this deficiency by listening to the inflections in people's voices and using logic to determine emotional context. The words people choose, their movements, or even how quickly they exit a meeting can provide clues to emotion.

I also have intensified senses -- touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound -- so I am attuned to lights, noise, textures, and smells. In a "busy" environment, I will eventually go into sensory overload and my mind will go blank. When this happens, I have to "go away" mentally for a brief period to regain focus. When I "return," I have to piece together what occurred while I was "away." The additional mental processing I must do to function every day is fatiguing, and I don't handle "ad hoc" very well. Being asked to respond quickly in the midst of all this other processing is difficult, sometimes impossible.

I am so sensitive to touch that a tickle hurts me. This is the hardest concept for most people to understand. How can a tickle hurt? All I can tell you is that it does, so I avoid being touched except by those who have learned how to touch me.

Hugs are dispensed infrequently, but if I do hug someone, I resemble Frankenstein's monster, arms extended to control contact. When my dad (who I suspect is an Aspie, too) and I hug, we both have "the approach." We sometimes miss and have to re-approach a couple of times until a brief, awkward hug is achieved.

In school, other children noted my differences, and I was bullied (and tickled into fits of despair) for years. Already needing extended periods of time alone, my response was to become even more of a loner. Uh oh. When you are weird, you are a joke. When you are a loner, you frighten people. It's always the quiet ones. ...

I am married (wow!), and my brilliant husband is an absolute sweetheart. I don't know any other man who has the self-confidence to be pushed away (sometimes sharply), both physically and mentally, as often as he has been. He has been gentle and patient (and, yes, frequently emotionally depleted) as we both worked through my need for space, tendency to go so deep into my own world that the real world and everyone in it cease to exist, and sensitivity to touch during the 26 (soon to be 27) years of our marriage.

I live with anxiety, because the world can be overwhelming and people have expectations that I always, sooner or later, fail to meet. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have been told that I am rude, inaccessible or cold, yet I have never purposely tried to harm anyone, nor do I mean to be, well, mean.

I could tell you so much more, but instead let me share one last insight. Don't pity me or try to cure or change me. If you could live in my head for just one day, you might weep at how much beauty I perceive in the world with my exquisite senses. I would not trade one small bit of that beauty, as overwhelming and powerful as it can be, for "normalcy."

Thank you CNN!

F.A.G News Alert!! Get Involved with Equality and Justice Day!

On Tuesday, April 29, 2008 join hundreds of New Yorkers who will be traveling to Albany to help win marriage equality, transgender non-discrimination protections, safe schools for LGBT youth, and more funding for our community’s health and human services needs.

Last year we brought more than 1100 people from all across New York to make sure that our elected officials in Albany saw first hand the power and determination of our community and our allies. This year will be even bigger—be a part of this historic day.

Don’t worry if you’ve never lobbied a legislator. We will provide you with the training you need. For some of you, going to Albany means that you have take a day off from work, and that isn’t always easy. But we won’t win this civil rights struggle unless we all come together at critical moments to show our community’s strength. For more information:

KEEP A F.A.G Positive Attitude During Challenging Times!

Best-selling author Napoleon Hill liked to tell a story about his grandfather, a wagon builder in North Carolina. When the old man cleared the land for cultivation, he always left a few oak trees in the middle of the field at the mercy of the elements, unsheltered by other trees in the forest. It was from those trees that his grandfather made the wagon’s wheels. Because they were forced to struggle against the fury of nature, they grew strong enough to bear the heaviest load. Welcome difficult challenges, for the greatest opportunities will come from challenges that force you to expand your mind as you search for creative solutions. During life’s bleakest hours, take solace in the face that you are strengthening yourself through struggle so that in the future you will be prepared to take on even greater challenges. Like the old oak tree, you grow strong only when you are forced to struggle.

F.A.G Quote- LIVE your FABULOUS and GAY LIFE celebrating each MOMENT!

Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life.
In its brief course
Lie all the truths and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth
The glory of action
The splendor of achievement,
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today well lived makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness
And tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.

F.A.G Spring Time Love- A FABULOUS and GAY Mission of SELF Exploration!

Spring is the season where I poke my head out the front door look around to see if there is anyone to date....I see how BIG my shadow is and if it is too big I run back inside and get on the treadmill....Like most single people I search for a date here and there and I usually find some interesting folks like myself eyeing the field.

I am OK about being single. My life is pretty full and complete. As I write that I find myself wanting something more- but what I really want is a relationship that completes me- not one that drains me. My last go around in the relationship department did not work out. There are many reasons for this, and as I continue to be reminded of how wrong I was in the relationship I do see myself in one that is loving, romantic and most importantly successfully mature.

I want the American Dream- Husband and Husband- white picket fence- marriage- love- great sex and companionship- that's why today's Daily OM message really rocked me....

Loving and committing to another person is a spiritual process whether that means a wedding or any other type of commitment ceremony. So often when we enter into a relationship we allow our emotions to lead us forward without thinking more deeply about what true commitment involves. If we can understand that sharing our lives with another person is not just based on love, but also on the hard work of being able to compromise and enter into a dialogue with them, then we are much more likely to find the key to having a successful relationship with our partners. So many people have not experienced a loving relationship between their own parents and therefore have no role model of what love should feel like or look like.

Many of us have been exposed to the idea that love should be romantic and sweep us off our feet. While this is a natural part of any relationship, the true test of our love comes from our willingness to explore this world with another person; to not only share in the delights that we encounter but also to negotiate the bumps in the road together. Generally this often takes the form of a mutual exchange of ideas, but, because any relationship is based on the needs and experiences of two people, we might also face a certain amount of misunderstanding. Learning to be open and receptive to our partners and to treat their wants and ideas with respect can help us to navigate even the most difficult situations. One way to do this is to take a deep breath, holding our partner in a space of love, allowing ourselves to listen fully with our hearts to what they have to say. Should this become difficult to do, we can also turn toward people whose relationships we admire for advice or guidance. Knowing that there are resources out there to help us and being up for exploring them with our partner will only serve to deepen and strengthen our relationship.

Entering into a committed relationship is in fact a spiritual journey that we undertake with another person. By being able to love and care for someone else with an open heart, we will find that we can reach a greater level of personal transformation, evolving along our path and learning powerful lessons about ourselves that we might not otherwise be able to do on our own.

It is with great affection that I share my thoughts with the 3 million people reading this BLOG- I think it is important to share and express as I travel through this vast universe.....A season of finding lasting LOVE starts today I marry myself....I carry on being good to myself....then I will be ready for what is next.....

F.A.G Reflective MOMENT- Live your Fabulousness and Gayness TODAY-No matter what- Stand PROUD and LOVE one another!

It's not the length but the quality of life that matters to me.
It has always been important to me to write one sentence at a time, to live every day as if it were my last and judge it in those terms, often badly, not because it lacked grand gesture or grand passion but because it failed in the daily virtues of self-discipline, kindness, and laughter. It is love, very ordinary, human love, and not fear, which is the good teacher and the wisest judge. ~Jane Rule

I've wondered what my sexuality might be, but I've never wondered whether it was acceptable or not. Anyway, who really cares whether I'm gay or straight?"
~George Michael

Is life not a hundred times too short for us to stifle ourselves.
~Friedrich Nietzsche

I'm a supporter of gay rights. And not a closet supporter either. From the time I was a kid, I have never been able to understand attacks upon the gay community. There are so many qualities that make up a human being... by the time I get through with all the things that I really admire about people, what they do with their private parts is probably so low on the list that it is irrelevant.
~Paul Newman

I'd rather be black than gay because when you're black you don't have to tell your mother.
~Charles Pierce

Gay and lesbian people fall in love. We settle down. We commit our lives to one another. We raise our children. We protect them. We try to be good citizens.
California Sen. Sheila Kuehl

Everybody's journey is individual. If you fall in love with a boy, you fall in love with a boy. The fact that many Americans consider it a disease says more about them than it does about homosexuality.

F.A.G ARTICLE! Live a Fabulous and Gay LIFE!

by: Napoleon Hill

One man who lost his entire fortune during the depression that began in 1929 was courageous enough to enumerate the benefits he gained from his loss.

"Through the loss of material fortune I discovered an intangible fortune of such huge proportion that it cannot be estimated in terms of material things."

"The depression which started during the year 1929 was the cause of my greatest defeat; yet it brought about my noblest victory, for it introduced me to a philosophy of life that will take the sting out of all future defeats."

"It deprived me of my money and other property, but it taught me that absolute independence is a theory only; that every one is dependent upon others in one way or another, through life, regardless of his material riches."
"It taught me the futility of worrying over circumstances beyond one's control."

"That fear can be spread, like an epidemic, by mass thought and talk."
"That any circumstances which forces one, or inspires one to use his own Personal Initiative with Definiteness of Purpose is beneficial."
"That money and real estate and other material things can become worthless through fear and a negative mental attitude toward the world at large."
"That the dominating thoughts of one's mind have a definite way of clothing themselves in their appropriate physical equivalent, whether the thoughts are positive or negative."
"There is no such reality as something for nothing, either in the affairs of men or the realm of natural laws."
"That a business conducted under the Golden Rule will survive a depression where those conducted without this principle cannot survive."
"That it is more blessed to render useful service, and more profitable than to demand something for nothing through government subsidies or public charity."
"That both success and failure originate in the mind, as a result of one's dominating thoughts."
"That a man's greatest blessing may consist in his greatest sorrow."
"That there is one human being on whom one can depend, without disappointment, in time of adversity, and this is one's self."

F.A.G Inspiration! Marianne Williamson's Quote! LIVE A FABULOUS and GAY LIFE!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented,
fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other
people won't feel unsure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
As we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Everyone should cuddle a cavalier puppy......a beautiful soulful experience.....

When you ignore your soul's destiny, when you get caught up in
your own self-interests and forget to care for others, you will not
feel "right." Instead, you will feel empty and unfulfilled. During
these times, you are neglecting your soul--you are depriving it of nourishment. . . . seek something outside your nine-to-five job
as an additional source of fulfillment and as a way to feel the joy
of helping others. You can do any number of things to fulfill this goal--volunteer at a community hotline, coach a Little League
team, donate your time to a public school, visit the sick.
Whatever you choose, you will gain a sense that you are
giving of yourself, that you are sharing yourself with
the world, that you are fulfilling the destiny of your soul.

catch a glimpse of soul, beauty is there; any time we catch
our breath and feel "How beautiful!," the soul is present.

F.A.G News Alert! OBAMA IS BLACK!!!!!!!! In case you didn't know!

.....a note to Obama- OBAMA....dear sir- I must inform you- YOU are BLACK sir.

Obama is BLACK! He is Black! He is black! black! black!!!

Does that make me a racist? No- it is a fact! Obama is black and that's it!

Now his campaign is yelling about Geraldine Ferraro claiming she made racist remarks by calling him BLACK! GIVE me a break Obama!! YOU are black and we can say that you are using your status as a black man to forward your agenda- same as Hillary using the fact that she is a woman and she is using that agenda to forward herself.... BIG Whoop!!

America is one messed up country- sexism- and racism- the Democrats are eating themselves alive!!.....Let's go back to an America where women stayed home- men ran the country and were able to have hookers and Angie Dickinson for lunch....Give me a time when WHITE men were real men and tap tap taping in bathroom stall was as common as a martini at 3pm....either that or let the FAGS run this country- cause the women and the blacks are messing up!

VOTE for a FAG!...we are the one's bringing marriage and family values to the forefront!....

Us FAGS LOVE everyone!!...and dam can we throw a state dinner to die for!!!

Here's a fabulous and gay workout schedule for improving your emotional fitness:

•Find one thing to appreciate about a tough situation. It could be worse!
•Don't let anger or resentment live rent free in your brain; practice forgiveness.
•Find joy in the process, whatever the outcome.
•Sincerely listen with care instead of trying to 'fix it'. Most people simply want to be heard!
•Move beyond rigid mind-sets and learn to be more adaptable and flexible. You could be wrong!
•Be open to the unpredictable nature of people and life.

And remember, repetition builds stronger emotional muscles.

F.A.G NEWS ALERT! Eliot Spitzer for President!!

Talk about a guy who can inspire a nation!! I love a man who wants to PAY for it!

GOV Spitzer has the best plan for jump starting the economy! His plan includes paying for every blow job, hand job and upside down licking-the-balls situation-So if every American paid for it just this week alone- I bet we'd have the national economy back on track and be able to keep the war going!...the REPUBLICANS would be happy- the Democrats love sex and my sister would be able to pay the rent...

So chant out loud faggy people- SPITZER FOR PRESIDENT!!!

We need a leader who can show us the righteous way to a better world the old fashion way!! GO USA! Go SPITZER! Forget that old dried up fag hag I have been supporting and that big-grinned side kick we call OPRAH's PUPPET- Let's back a real good old guy- Eliot Spitzer!!! WE love a man who wants to pay for it!! Whoa!!

Now back to the talking heads- can they chat a subject to death or what???.....oh yeah lets talk about sex and not the fact that our water has drugs in it or that our children are autistic or the fact that more Americans are dying in the war....yeah lets spend all our time talking about where a man wants to put his dick....

Nothing on the list about Priests who make little boys suck their dicks AND nothing on the list about spending too much money on Prada shoes when Darfur is starving to death....hmmm.....guess some folks are still in the clear to get to heaven.....but the rest of us sinners well.... all I can say is that it sounds like Hell is gonna have some FUN people hanging out- including Eliot Spitzer....whoa!....

When are people gonna wake up and see that this BIG cult called Catholicism is a sham!! Open your eyes Peeps!....

F.A.G Monday Meditative Moment

It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief
that human history is shaped. Each time a person stands
up for an ideal or strikes out against injustice, he or she
sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other
from a million different centers of energy and daring
those ripples build a current which can sweep down
the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
